Paste your title, bullets and search terms to get a grade against Amazon’s listing rules, the niche’s search terms your listing cannot be found for, and an AI rewrite.
Pick the niche your product sells in, paste your title, item highlights, bullet points and search terms (or paste the product's Amazon link to read the live title and bullets), and the tool grades the listing from A to F. Every check is one of Amazon's own Seller Central rules:
Title: 75 characters at most, spaces included; none of the characters ! $ ? _ { } ^ ¬ ¦; no word more than twice; no promotional phrases such as "free shipping". Amazon says a title that breaks these rules might be corrected automatically or might not appear in search results.
Item highlights: the comma-separated phrases shown under the title, 125 characters at most.
Bullet points: at least three, each starting with a capital letter, with no emojis or symbols such as ™ or ®, and each about something different.
Search terms: the Generic keyword field stays under 250 bytes, and Amazon does not count spaces or punctuation. No brand names, ASINs, temporary words such as "new" or subjective words such as "best": Amazon warns they can get the ASIN suppressed.
Keyword coverage: the searches that can find you
Amazon search does not do partial matching. A search shows your listing only when every one of its words is somewhere in it (singular and plural count as one). The tool takes the niche's top 30 search terms from Amazon Opportunity Explorer, with their searches over the past 30 days, and marks each one as found in the title, found elsewhere in the listing, or missing, with the exact words it lacks. You see what share of the niche's searches can reach your listing at all, which is where Amazon product listing optimization starts.
Search terms and an AI rewrite
From the same data the tool builds a Generic keyword field for the listing as it is: the words buyers type that your title, highlights and bullets do not have yet, the most searched first, each once, within 249 bytes. Then, with a free account and for 3 credits, an AI model rewrites the listing inside Amazon's limits: a title of 75 characters or fewer next to your current one, item highlights, five bullet points and search terms made to go with the new title, plus a short list of what it changed. It is told to use only facts from your listing, so check sizes and materials before you paste anything into Seller Central.
Where it stops
Text only. It does not see your images, A+ content, price or reviews, which also decide how a listing converts.
Amazon.com. The search data is for the US store and is refreshed weekly.
Search terms stay private. From an Amazon link it reads the title and bullet points on the live page, but shoppers never see the search terms, so paste yours from Seller Central.
Not a service. Amazon listing services rewrite listings by hand for a fee. This gives you the checks for free and a first rewrite in about a minute, and you decide what to keep.
Before you rewrite, the Amazon Product Research Tool shows the products and brands you compete with in the niche, and the Amazon FBA calculator checks that your price still leaves a profit after fees.
How to read the results
Start with the niche: type the product in a few words and pick one of Amazon's niches from the list, such as "jewelry boxes for women". A picked niche is used exactly; plain text goes to the closest niche Amazon tracks, and the report names it. Then paste the listing, or paste the product's Amazon link and the tool reads its title and bullets from the live page into the form. Only the title is required, and the bullets can go in five boxes or in one box, one per line. The counters follow Amazon's limits as you type: characters for the title and highlights, bytes for the search terms. The tool then shows:
The checks, in a few seconds: the grade and every rule check grouped by part of the listing, the worst first, each with its fix.
Keyword coverage and search terms: the niche's top search terms with the words each one still needs, and a Generic keyword field to copy.
The AI rewrite, with a free account, about 20 seconds later: your title next to the suggested one, new item highlights, five bullet points and search terms, each with a copy button.
Work through it in that order. Fix the failed rules first, since Amazon can leave a listing that breaks them out of search. Then add the missing words of the most searched terms to the title or bullets, and put the rest in the search terms. The checks, keyword coverage and search terms use one of your daily lookups: 3 a day without an account, 10 with a free account and more on paid plans, shared by every research tool on the site. The AI rewrite needs a free account and costs 3 credits; a free account gets 50 credits a month, and the credits come back if the AI part fails. Checking the same listing again within 6 hours shows the same result for free.
Frequently asked questions
Is this Amazon listing optimization tool free?
The checks, keyword coverage and suggested search terms are free: each check uses one of your daily lookups, 3 a day without an account, 10 with a free account and more on paid plans, shared by every research tool on the site. The AI rewrite needs a free account and costs 3 credits; a free account gets 50 credits a month. Checking the same listing again within 6 hours costs nothing, and the credits come back if the AI part fails.
Can I check a live Amazon listing from its link?
Yes. Paste the product link, the one with /dp/ in it, or its 10-character ASIN, and the tool reads the title and bullet points from the live amazon.com page and checks them like a pasted listing. Search terms are not public, so paste yours to have them checked too. Short a.co links cannot be read: open the product and copy the full link from the address bar. A read uses one daily lookup, like any check.
How long can an Amazon product title be?
Amazon's title requirement is 75 characters at most, spaces included. Item highlights add up to 125 characters of comma-separated phrases shown under the title. The tool counts both as you type and flags a title that runs over.
What happens if my title breaks Amazon's rules?
Amazon says a title that does not meet its requirements might be corrected automatically or might not appear in search results. The rules cover the length, the characters ! $ ? _ { } ^ ¬ ¦, promotional phrases and any word used more than twice (articles, prepositions and conjunctions aside).
How many bytes can Amazon search terms have?
The Generic keyword field must stay under 250 bytes, and Seller Central stops accepting text at the limit. Amazon search does not count spaces or punctuation, so the tool counts only letters and digits; an accented letter such as é counts as two bytes.
What should not go in Amazon search terms?
Brand names, ASINs, temporary words such as "new", "on sale" or "limited time", and subjective words such as "best", "cheap" or "amazing". Amazon warns these may get the ASIN suppressed. Words already in your title add nothing either, because Amazon already matches them from the title.
What is keyword coverage?
The share of a niche's top search terms your listing can be found for. Amazon search does not do partial matching, so every word of a search has to be somewhere in your title, highlights, bullets or search terms (singular and plural count as one). The tool lists the niche's top 30 search terms with the words each one still needs.
Does the AI make up product details?
It is told to use only facts from your listing and never to invent sizes, materials or numbers, but it can still get things wrong. Read the rewrite before you paste it into Seller Central and keep only what is true for your product.
How is this different from Amazon listing services?
Listing services and agencies rewrite listings by hand for a fee. This tool gives you the rule checks and the missing search terms for free, and a first rewrite for 3 credits, so you know what needs work before you decide whether to pay anyone.
