Last updated: October 26, 2026. This page explains what eMarketInsight (emarketinsight.com) stores when you use the site, why, and for how long. We keep it short because we keep very little.
ei_pass. It is set the first time a page asks our API for data, lasts 24 hours and contains only a timestamp and a signature. It does not identify you and it is not used for advertising. Calculators and checkers that run in your browser never set it.The Etsy fees calculator, profit calculator, title checker, tag checker, keyword combiner, shop name generator, print file checker and print size calculator do their work in your browser. What you type or drop into them is not sent to us.
If you write to us, we store your name, email address, topic and message so we can reply. We do not add you to a mailing list.
When you create an account we store your email address, your plan, your credit balance and what you ran with your credits. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
If you connect your Etsy shop, you sign in on Etsy and approve read-only access (the scopes shops_r, listings_r and transactions_r). We cannot change your listings, orders or shop settings. With that access we read and store:
We use this only to show you your own figures in your dashboard and to answer your questions in the AI Analyst; it is never shown to anyone else, sold or used for advertising. Etsy's access tokens are encrypted at rest. The data refreshes every few hours while you use it, and in real time when Etsy notifies us of a new order or a listing change. Disconnecting the shop in your dashboard deletes the tokens at once and every synced row within minutes. You can also revoke access from your Etsy account settings at any time.
We do not sell personal data, we do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
You can block or delete the ei_pass cookie at any time; the research and studio tools will then ask your browser to allow it again before they run. To ask what we hold about you or to have a contact message deleted, write to us through the contact page.
