Without an account, 1K runs are free up to today's limit.

Each run adds a new variation to the gallery: about a minute at 1K, about 3 minutes at 2K or 4K, which are enlarged for print.

Variations

  • Upload only artwork you created or hold the rights to. Remixing someone else's design does not make it yours to sell.
  • Your artwork is stored temporarily so the AI service can process it.
  • Without an account, the four AI design tools share a daily allowance of free 1K renders, reset at midnight UTC. Signed in, each run spends credits.

About the AI Design Variations

One design, many directions

A design that sells once can often sell again in a different color, season or style. This tool creates AI design variations from artwork you upload: you add a short direction, such as a new palette or a vintage finish, and get back new versions built on the original. It is for sellers who want to grow a collection around designs they already own, without redrawing every version by hand.

Ways sellers use variations

  • Seasonal versions: turn a spring floral into an autumn one by shifting the palette.
  • Product fit: make a single-color version that prints cleanly on mugs or tote bags, or a bolder one for dark shirts.
  • Style tests: try a line-art, retro or distressed take and see which one buyers respond to.
  • Niche spin-offs: swap one element, such as the animal or the hobby, while keeping the layout that already works.

An example direction

Say you sell an illustration of a cat reading a book, with hand-drawn lettering above it. Upload the file and enter swap the cat for a fox, keep the lettering. Generate, keep the result closest to your shop's look, and list it as a separate design with its own title and tags. A second run with one-color stamp version could give you a variant suited to a canvas tote. Each direction is short and changes one thing, which makes the results much easier to compare side by side.

Ownership and quality

Only upload artwork you created or have the rights to adapt. A variation of a design you do not own is still derived from someone else's work, and this tool is not a way around that. Results are AI-generated, so check lettering, hands and small details at full size before listing anything. Free daily renders let you test different directions on the same design. Some sellers call this an AI design remix, others a way to make design variants for print on demand or to create variations of an image; whatever the name, the goal is more listings from work you already own, each one checked before it goes live.

How to read the results

Upload your artwork, type a short direction and generate. Then put each variation next to the original artwork and ask yourself four questions.

  • Did the change happen? If you asked for a pastel palette and the colors barely moved, be more specific, for example by naming two or three colors.
  • Did the rest stay put? Layout and characters should hold unless you asked to change them. If too much shifted, cut the direction down to a single instruction.
  • Is the text intact? Lettering is the part most likely to drift. Retype it in your design software if it comes back misspelled.
  • Will it print well? Hairline detail, soft gradients and thin outlines can print poorly. Check size and resolution before ordering, and test the variation on a mockup of the real product.

Treat a variation as a brand-new design: give it its own title and tags, and watch whether it sells on its own before you spin more versions off it.

Frequently asked questions

What are AI design variations?
They are new versions of a design you already have, generated from your file and a short instruction. The theme stays close to the original while the color, style or one element changes.
Can I make variations of a design I bought or downloaded?
Only if your license allows modification and commercial use. If you do not hold those rights, do not upload it.
How should I write the direction?
Keep it to one or two changes in plain words, such as same layout, autumn colors. A long list of changes makes the results harder to control.
Are the variations ready to print?
Treat them as close to final. Check text, edges and resolution at full size, and fix any lettering in your own software if it came back wrong.
Should I list each variation separately?
A variation that looks clearly different, such as a new color story or a new subject, usually works best as its own listing. Small changes may fit better as an option on the original listing.
Is AI Design Variations free?
Yes. It comes with a free allowance of renders each day, so you can try a few directions on the same file at no cost.
